This program of cannulated screws offers
a wide range of diameters and lengths. They are all
self-tapping and self-drilling to simplify the operation and
reduce the surgical time. Their surface is specially treated
to avoid tissue attachment. To make a later metal removal
even easier, these screws have also a reverse self-cut.
The screws are of Titanium alloy and thus biologically well
tolerated and compatible with Magnetic Resonance (MRI) and
Computer Tomography (CT) imaging.
Cannulated Screws in Titanium alloy
The screws are of Titanium alloy, according to ISO 5832/III.
The special surface treatment avoids attachment of the screw
and makes a later removal easier. The screws are compatible
with Magnetic Resonance (MRI) and Computer Tomography (CT).
All screws are self-tapping and self-drilling which
simplifies the operation and reduces the operating time.
If the bone is hard and/or the screw diameter small, the
following techniques can be advantageous:
-Drill at least through the cortical wall.
-Insert the screw over the guide wire with the cannulated
screw driver until resistance is felt. Retrieve the guide
wire and use the non-cannulated screw driver to complete
insertion of the screw.
The screws are packaged individually, non-sterile.
